Dala Oh Named an Elite Woman in Law for 2026

Nolen Walters is proud to announce that Director Dala Oh has been named an Elite Woman in Law for 2026, recognising her among outstanding women in the legal profession across Australia and New Zealand.
The recognition is part of the sixth annual Elite Women list, presented by Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer. This prestigious Australasian award recognises 105 winners, 39 of whom are from New Zealand, with the remainder from across the Tasman. The list celebrates women who have demonstrated a passion for the law through their leadership, influence and contributions to the legal profession.
Recognising Legal Expertise and Leadership
Dala is a Director at Nolen Walters, specialising in litigation, family law and private wealth. Her family law practice covers a wide range of matters, with particular expertise in complex relationship property disputes and cases involving novel legal issues or high-stakes situations.
Before joining Nolen Walters, Dala gained extensive litigation experience through her practice as a Barrister Sole and previous work at the Office of the Crown-Solicitor of Auckland. Her courtroom experience spans the Family Court, District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. She also regularly works alongside leading King's Counsel on significant litigation matters, helping clients navigate challenging legal and financial issues.
Beyond litigation, Dala advises individuals and families on estate planning, trusts, private wealth structuring and asset protection. Her approach combines strong legal advocacy with practical advice, with a focus on protecting clients' long-term interests.
A Commitment to Diverse Communities
Dala's professional experience also reflects a strong understanding of the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse communities and a commitment to improving their access to justice. In an earlier role, she helped develop and lead a specialist practice serving clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese, Dala is well placed to support clients from different backgrounds. She recognises that family disputes, relationship property matters and private wealth decisions can involve deeply personal and complex circumstances, and aims to provide clear guidance, practical solutions and considered representation.
